Pumps 101 - Irrigation Workshop

This workshop is brought to you by the MNLA Billings Chapter and will focus on above-ground pumps including maintenance, pump curves, winterization, and other problems encountered by professionals in the field.

Variable Frequency Drives Basics: 20 min
Pumps 101: In this surface pump class, fundamentals of single and multistage centrifugal pumps and jet pumps will be covered. The course will also cover pump sizing and curves, including net positive suction head (NPSH). Pump troubleshooting and maintenance will also be discussed, finishing with a brief overview of variable frequency drives.

Senior Field Service Engineer
Walt Leake has worked as a Field Service Engineer with Franklin Electric since 2019. He provides training on the entire product line of Franklin Electric. He also provides technical support to contractors and distributors in person and over the phone. Throughout his career he has gained extensive experience designing and troubleshooting pumping and control systems.
